Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer faith-based counseling?
Yes — when requested, I integrate a faith-based approach in a way that supports your values and honors your story. This can include LDS, Christian, or other faith traditions.
What if my insurance is out of network?
You'll pay the self-pay rate at your session. I'll provide a superbill — a billing document that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement, depending on your out-of-network benefits.
How do I know which practice (Cedarhurst or Creating Your Balance) to book through?
It depends on your insurance and whether you want in-person or virtual sessions. The Locations & Insurance page has an insurance picker that highlights the right practice for you — or text Cari at (480) 331-8299 and she'll point you to the right place.
Are sessions confidential?
Yes. Therapy sessions are protected by federal and state law, including HIPAA. There are a few legal exceptions (imminent harm to self or others, suspected abuse of a child or vulnerable adult, court orders) that Cari will review with you at intake.
