Meet Cari

Hi, I'm Cari.

Cari McCormick, LAC · Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC)

I'm a counselor who shows up with warmth, steadiness, and genuine respect for the people I serve.

I'm a counselor who shows up with warmth, steadiness, and genuine respect for the people I serve, and my work is rooted in the belief that every person carries strengths worth building on. I've raised my family in Arizona since 1998, and serving this community is deeply meaningful to me — it's home. I do this work because I believe people deserve a place where they can be fully themselves without judgment, reconnect with their resilience, and move forward with clarity and confidence.

My therapy approach is grounded in person-centered work, where clients are met with genuine warmth, respect, and autonomy. I pay close attention to attachment needs, helping individuals and relationships understand the patterns that shape connection, safety, and emotional responsiveness. Everything I do is filtered through a trauma-informed lens, honoring the impact of past experiences while supporting clients in building regulation, resilience, and a clearer sense of self.

Outside of work, I'm someone who values connection, meaning, and the quiet moments that shape a full life. When clients request it, I'm comfortable integrating a faith-based perspective in a way that supports their values and honors their story. I love traveling, swimming, hosting friends, listening to live music, and taking long drives through the beautiful Arizona landscape I've called home since 1998. Much of my own growth has come from learning how to create new meaning after loss, and that experience informs the compassion I bring to my work. My greatest joy comes from time with my three adult children, my grandchild, and my two silly dogs who keep life grounded and full of laughter.
